When your feet and ankles swell is it a serious matter

my husband is a semi truck drive, when is drives for several hours his feet and ankles swell up quite a bit. is this serious? should he be checked by a doctor? what causes this to happen?

Well, its not good either way when your feet and ankles swell... Anyways, swollen a feet and ankles could mean alot of things like diabetic problems, kidney problems and alot of other problems... I would seek a dr asap... the sooner the better... I hope that I didnt scare you but helped you... :)
