Password feature disappears from off-line program - what happened?

I use an off-line program which I open with a password feature. I have done this for almost a year. For the last two days, I opened the program and am NOT asked for my password. The program opens up immediately. Why did my password feature disappear? Thank you. JaniceKay51@hotmail.com
