Seek advice on why my boyfriend seems distant and quiet and not as caring lately?

I have been seeing this great guy for about 4 years. We had a great time together - laughed, shared common interests, all that great stuff.
Over the past few weeks, he seems to have gone quiet cool towards me, he isn't as passionate, he dosent seem to want to be involved in things we used to enjoy : we don't live together! I can feel it , I can't ask him because he isnt the type to answer. I'm not sure if he is being this way to try and turn me off him or not . He is a stubborn type, but was always a good fun man, I adore him. When I speak to him lately, which is over the phone mostly, he either dosent answer the calls, or just says one word replies , that is talking about general every day things, He does not make the suggestions of going out or being together anymore -- last time I seen him, He was a different man. I am so anxious as to know why he changed, because I cannot pinpoint it.

It's as if he is keeping his distance on me on purpose and he is aware that I am clued up enough to recognise that, !

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I miss him so much.

He is around, but only 1/10 the time he was a few weeks back

well maybe he's cheating. I mean if he isnt around but I would definatly ask around. see if some of his friends know.

Honestly I think few things might be happening,he might find someone new whos reacalling his attention,mans like urs could be easely traped because of the way he is,womans go after this kind of personality for sure and will try to do what ever possible to capture him. In another hand he might be going true some other kind of problems and maybe doesnt feel open enough to let u know,some times giving the man a little time to think and realize their own fears could help him come back to u like if nothing happens...they go true changes like we do,u must try ur best to understand if u really love him..good luck!
