What do I do with a stray cat?

I have had a stray cat coming in my garden on and off for a few months. He has been sleeping in our wendy house. He has no coller but I had only managed to stroke him once so I do not know if he is chipped. He is very skinny and looks like he has had a few fights. I have fed him recently and he was very very hungrey. He is very nervous but gets on well with my two cats. Can I claim him? what do you do with a stray cat?

i suggest you keep the cat...well you have already fed the stray so its gonna keep coming and going....so put up posters for found cat and wait about weeks to a month and see if anyone has responded and make sure you trust the people who wanna claim....just take care of the cat might as well start buying some supplies...like litter box and food but if you dont want the cat dont take it in your household also I suggest you take it to a vet to make sure that it has no deseases.=D hope you take my advice...

Take it to vet, and have it put to sleep. It's probably ill.
