where do the city codes require fire retardant drywall in a home?

Generally, fire rated drywall is required in garages, (if the garage is atttached to the home or other occupied structured), in finished basements, and any dividing walls that separate 2 or more attached homes (i.e. townhouses, apartments, condos, ect.)
