Am cooking onions ring but I do not have buttermilk what else could I use

Here is an EXCELLENT onion ring recipe, and it doesn't use buttermilk:

It does use regular milk though, I'm assuming you have that at least?

to make buttermil, add a Tablespoon of vinegar to milk.

You can also use any other milk though. In my apknite cooking app, the instruction even said that you can use oat milk or soymilk if you want to make a vegan dish. However, I think the buttermilk may make it more flavor. Try any as your interest tho.
