Help! I dont know this stuff!

i just moved to my new school, and im taking classes that I didnt have before... so can you help me???? This class is canadian history!!! :'(
where did the american civil war take place? who were the key individuals? what happened during this event? and what happened after this event????

oh right, were not allowed to use google or wikipedia.. cuz apparently they put up false information... thats the words of my teachers!
