What's the issue? Just let the boy go live with his father.

I realize it can be a really hard thing for the mother to let go of her baby, but the mother should care about what the child wants as well, maybe it will do him some good to see his father and stay with him a bit, im sure you can visit him or he will come visit you and you can talk on the phone, you don't want to say no because he may end up resenting you and when hes old enough just running away and going himself.

In Australia, the courts listen to the kids first, then the parents. Tough, thats how it is. If you child wants to live with Dad, then let him. After all by not letting him go there it will affect everything. He could even end up hating you. Are you prepsred to live with that. it is equally as hard for the dads as well. Dads that really love the kid(s) I am a single Dad of 3 girls and they all live with me and not Mum. Well the courts listened to all 3 girls cos of the nasty things that adults say about each other. Start doing that then you will loose out. Big time.
