In college at 60 yrs to be an elementary school teacher. What should I focus on to be hired?

Life-long desire to be a teacher but I raised my children first.
I raised very successful, high-moral, compassionate businessmen.
Took the plunge of leaving my high-level yet boring corporate job to help others to fulfill my life's purpose.
They're now cutting back on teachers.
How can I stand out as an outstanding candidate?
What courses should I take?

You should definitely take some child development classes as it looks GREAT on a teacher's resumé.
