Why do capital investment decisions require consideration of the time and value of money?
Try =RATE in Excel.
Nowhere have I been able to find what's wrong, until someone showed the formula with a hyphen (minus sign) in front of the PV.
That does the trick, & without any of those Type & Guess requirements or iteration stuff.
Don't understand why Microsoft or anyone else never shows that hyphen in all their RATE formulas.
