How much does the US president make per year?

My thoughts exactly, but I'm glad it's not more. He lives in the white house and has everything catered to him, what would he need more money for? I mean I understand that you're not president forever, and you still have your own expenses, and I understand it's a very difficult demanding job, but I think it's good that he's not earning some obscene amount a year. (For the record, when I say him, I mean presidents in general, I'm not hating on Obama or anything.)
