I can't pay my credit card? How and where can I file for bankruptcy?

I was not able to pay a small amount on my credit card for 2 years now because I have no job at that time. Now that amount is 100 times the original amount. There is no way I can pay these. If I file for bankruptcy what can credit company do? Are they going to file a criminal charges against me? I'm in a different country now and I'm afraid that somebody might arrest me in the immigration. Please advise. Thanks!

My credit card debt got out of control too.. I had monthly payments of $940 and couldn't do it anymore.. I finally had to consolidate and the payments are only $420 and it will be paid off in 3 years. This is where I went http://bit.ly/9SxsA3

Wouldn't you suspect that a question asked in March would be resolved by the time you posted your commercial in September?
