How long can you leave stew in a crockpot?

I started cooking a stew yewterday morning and added more potatoes last night, this morning I have to go to work and don't have time to cool it off. Is it safe to let it cook today too?

I may be late on answering this, but yes the only bad thing is everything might fall apart (like the potatoes) and mix together making it look not as good and the solids in it may seem dry, but it would still be edible and should still taste good... by theory...
