How can I change the dates of my student loan forbearance or can I cancel and immediately reapply?

My student loans are in forbearance for the next 10 months but I am trying to get a FHA home loan. They want my forbearance to be 12 months from the date of closing (which will require me to extend my forbearance two months). Problem is Direct Loans will not allow me to extend past 12 months. Is there a way I can cancel my current forbearance and then reapply making the date effective as of the day of closing on my house? Please help!
