What is the basic message in bradbury essay

That every great non democratic government with tendency to dictatorship,does not need an educated and free thinking population.As in days of inquisition,where only reading was the New Testament and more or less nothing else,in Bradbury's
novel the government in very similar fashion burns with the books the possibility of education and thus the free thinking spirit.
