Should a recovering alcoholic have female sponsor?

My boyfriend just goten out of treatment one month ago and has gotten a female sponsor who he talks on the phone constantly, he talks to her more than he does me. I am the one who bailed out of jail when he got a DUI. I am concerned.

Well there's many factors to take into consideration when picking a sponsor, and generally gender is not one of them. Your concerns are understandable, and you need to sit down with him and calmly maturely discuss this like two adults.
