Stupid military question

ok this is going to sound really stupid. My friend was seeing this guy who is in the marines. Lives in louisiana. Well he had to go to afganistan for a few months and now he is in north carolina. She is confused as to wether he actually lives in north carolina now or if he is just staying there for a few months before he returns home. They are talking but she is too embarassed to ask such a stupid question. He goes to the gym and stuff there,and drinks with his friends...and goes to school I think. At first he said he just has to stay there to go to these classes to make sure everythings okay mentally after serving in afgan...but its been a couple months. My "Friend" is really confused. loll plz help. I thought soldiers came straight home after that or is n.c his home? Wtf.

Tell your friend to be open and just simply ask this guy what's going on. He could be attending classes to deal with post-military service stress, or he could simply be messing your friend around.

Ask him in a calm and simple way.. what exactly are his reasons for being located there. I'm sure there's a simple explanation and anyways your friend shouldn't feel stupid for asking him, she should feel comfortable with him enough to do so.
