The economy is killing my business we do great work at fair prices what can I do to survive?

We are a Southern California company that specialize in telecommunicatios. We have been in business for over 15 years. Our customers are pleased with our services, products, and solutions we provide. Recently it has become very hard to compete with similar businesses/handymen that cut cost by not having insurance, a contractor licence, and quality workmanship. This is my website www.uniquecomm.net
Thank You for ideas and help!

Dear Jb,
Tough times really.

I believe your company is serious about providing quality service and custom-care and it has been doing it for long time. However, It is hard to see that through your web page. (Likely, other areas of your marketing have similar flaws).

You website is outdated and does not tell key infomation to support client decision-making. Honestly, it looks like a friend made it to you.
Revamp it, according to some guidelines, in order to reflect your company values:

1) take care of your image/brand. It is all you got: Get beautiful.

2)tell people what you told us...that you company gives better workmanship because it is insured, licensed and hires the best.

3) tell them what being a Panasonic certified means today and the advantages of doing business with companies that has that certification. (if the advantage is none, get rid of it and list another one).

4) Make a better service and product list! Explain what every service is and how it can improve your customer lives! If necessary use video, podcast.... etc. Ex: tell how service "x" can help saving costs! Tell how surveillance reduces x% the risk of property transpassing. Dont assume they know it!

5) Show in your website that you have assigned people in your company to respond for specific areas. (I would feel safer knowing that I would be talking to the expert in surveillance right out off the bat and not a do-everything reception guy).

5) offer smart ways of clients comunicating to your company. After all, you are in communication business! Give then live chat, live texting to your custom care dep...etc... be creative. Show that you know how to improve communication by showing how your company did it!

I sincerely hope it may help you. Good luck.
