How does dyeing the plant with food coloring make a change?

i dyed a flower. and the flower changes color to the food coloring that i added. what amkes the plant change colors? how?

It's simple absorption. The plant absorbs the water, and thus the food coloring in it. If you kept your hand in a bucket of water that had food coloring, your hand would be tinted when you pull it out (after keeping it in there for a while). Your tongue changes color when you suck on an ice pop. Absorption baby, it's a beautiful thing!
