My Mom had no income, my dad has income but just over the limit for me to claim him as a dependent. They both live with me and I cover more than half their expenses. If I claim my mom as dependent how should my dad fine his return? MFS, MFJ or Single? I want to claim my mom so I can file HOH and will get a bigger return than if my dad claimed her.
