Why do my crush's signs of liking me mimic her mom's behavior towards me?

There's this one shy girl who I thought liked me (she looks at me occasionally, mimics me, talks to people she knows about me, greeting me, saying “good night” or “bye” to me, etc.) However, her Mom also shows some of the other signs that her daughter shows (hardly looking at me when talking to me, ignoring me)

I know her Mom doesn't feel the same way about me as I think her daughter feels. I just want to know if you guys have any inkling of what’s going on. Are her signs of liking merely a coincidence?

not so much coincidence as nature as in the nature/nurture subject. it may be that her daughter just picked up these actions from being around her mom for so many years. thats who she had to look to for action/reaction behavior being both females in the family. It's just their personalities
hope that made some sense to you
