I am thinking about becoming a home inspector

I was wondering what advise anyone with experience on the subject would have that could possibly help me out. I live in Michigan if that means anything to anyone.
Things such as
Education?
How to get a Job?
Or just important experiences you have had and mistakes you have possibly made that i could learn from.
It will be appreciated, thank you for your time = )
