How to hook up a tv monitor to a laptop

have a laptop... my tv is also a monitor with analog connection how do I hook them up together for multiple monitors

Well it depends on what inputs your TV has. Assuming it has a VGA in, and assuming your laptop has a VGA out, just get a VGA to VGA cable, plug it in both ends, and then in some cases you need to hold down the function key "fn" and press one of the function keys at the top of the keyboard (e.g. F5) to switch video modes. Usually the right function key you want has a picture of like two rectangles on it, one slightly off set from the other.
