What is a mediahub

Well think of it like this. A usb hub is a small device that contains multiple usb ports. It's basically a splitter, for usb devices. Well take that idea, but instead of usb plugs, it's media devices. The mediahub on a computer is a software interface between various media components. I've only seen it on Dell computers, and it's purely software based only.
