What can you tell me about denial of medical treatment due to out standing ballances

Every situation is different.... My husband is a medical malpractice attorney and i know for a fact that an er can not turn you away b/c you can't pay. Some of them have told people to go away. They are opening a door to alot of legal issues if they do that.
