Dishwasher clean light is blinking

curious,My dishwasher is not working the light that lets you know the dishes are clean keeps blinking,so as long as the clean light is on ,the dishwasher won"t work.If anyone out there has ever had this problem and could tell me what to do that might fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it.Thank You
