In the Lacuna, Frida Kahlo says to Harrison "You can make a kite out of your pants" What does this phrase mean?

Basically, you can make art out of anything in the world around you. If you have some string, you can tie the legs of your pants shut and use it like a kite. The way a kite dances in the sky is like art, in the fluid movements and twists it does. Art isn't restricted to just making something you've seen on a canvas with paint. Art can be made out of anything, and can stretch as far as your imagination, and more.

I interpreted it as something like "you can go play in the road". Like, do whatever, I could care less.
