What if a dealership sold me a car with air bags missing without informing me

i brought a car from used car dealership, and now i've found out that one or two air bags are missing, do i have a law suite on my hands?

No. It's stated in the purchase agreement that you inspected the car yourself and have asked all the appropriate questions, and that you are buying the car as-is. It's your fault for not asking them if it has airbags. As ridiculous as it sounds, that's how it will play out in court and you will lose.

the business is liable to make the car safe. the business may not have known. it is not uncommon for air bags to be stolen, sold or not replaced after an accident. return to the business and ask to be made right. you need to know if on OR two airbags are missing. find out for sure.

Your first option should never be, a law suit. Instead, your focus should always be on working on a solution. Unlike private owners, car dealerships are held to a slightly higher standard since they are the professionals. One would think that air bags would fall under the same regulations as seat belts, smog control or side mirrors. This could probably be best answered by calling a few reputable car dealerships in your state or a DMV, and asking them if the seller of a used vehicle is responsible for assuring that air bags are present and functional on vehicles that were originally equipped with them. If you get a unanimous "yes", then go and speak with the dealership where you purchased the vehicle. They will probably concede and "right the wrong". Remember, they have a reputation to protect. If you get a unanimous "no", then save your money and let it go. Never look at a law suit as a first remedy.

You should call them and tell them what happened to your car, they can fix it or give you ur money back for a new one! No lawsuit
