To what extent does age effect your hearing?

As you get older, your hearing will get worse. What happens exactly is the part of your ear that receives sound are these microscopic hairs inside your ear, and as you age, they slowly start to fall out. The older you are, the more fall out, the harder your hearing is.

P.S. You meant affect, not effect.

Age-related hearing loss is the gradual loss of hearing in both ears. It's a common problem linked to aging. One in 3 adults over age 65 has hearing loss. Because of the gradual change in hearing, some people are not aware of the change at first.
