My boyfriend cut his hair and looks so ugly now. how to make him look better?

Let's start with how long it is, if it's really short, then he might be able to just style it into a good shape with some gel until it grows out more. Now if there's still some length to it, and he got it cut at a salon, they should re-cut it for no charge. If someone else cut it, but it still has some length, maybe someone else can cut it so it looks better.
