Can camstudio record audio while it is muted?

I want to record a video with sound but don't want to disturb others, can i put the video on mute and still record audio?

No, CamStudio will record your pre-fader output. What you can do is just turn your speakers off and record it. That will work just fine. In theory, if you turn down the master volume from the control slider in the task bar, it should still record the audio, but I can't say this for sure.
