What are some interesting majors/careers?

I'm a college student
I'm not smart but I am hardworking.
I just got done with my first semester of college and realized that I hated chemistry and calculus
I do like learning foreign languages but what would I do with a degree in that?
I'm a terrible public speaker. I think I work well with others but I seem to do things better on my own.
Like I said, I hate chemistry so I probably won't do anything in the medical field.
I am really confused about what I should do
I know I'm only a freshman and people say..oh you'll find out what you want to do later on
but truthfully speaking, I don't want to do anything.nothing interests me career wise.
But that's probably because I don't know much about any careers.
My parents have blue collar jobs and I guess that's all I really know.
I just don't really know how people know what they want to do straight out of high school when they have no experience but I understand they change their minds.
I just really want an idea because I don't want to go around taking random classes and wasting money and time.
I think I am detail oriented but I'm not really sure what that means
Also, I want to have a life of creativity, passion, and purpose.
I understand that this explanation is vague and you can't pinpoint a certain major or career for me so I guess I would like to know more about your majors or careers and why you chose them...
Thanks so much for your time

Please don't post personal information.
You like foreign languages but you are not skilled at public speaking. You can work with others but you also like working by yourself.

Have you thought about being a translator? There are numerous avenues for someone who does this - translator for customs agent, the person who translates the foreign representative at a speech etc. You could even try Teaching English as a Foreign Language - you would be speaking to an audience but essentially you would travel to Japan (for instance) and teach the Japanese to speak English.
