Can you buy cakes with food stamps

Yes, you can buy cakes and food items. Seafood or live chickens can be bought but they cannot be steamed, fried, boiled /cooked for you in any way to take home. That is the law on Food Stamps.

Some states you may buy deli food such as ready made potato salad,ect as long as it is cold. I use to be a deli manager and if I had hot foods at the end of shift I could let it cool and package it and put it with the section of salads and then it could begotten with foodstamps as long as it was cold Such as barbque chicken or brisket.

It would help if you mentioned what it's dependent on.
Some places you can buy most anything. Can't buy pet food but you can buy many cans of tuna for your cat. Always a loop hole somewhere.
