OK, this is a big question - but here is a general answer for you. First, Robohelp IS a knowledge base, itself. However, if you have documents outside of Robohelp you will need to import them into the Robohelp framework. From there, you can move pages into different projects to produce various e-helps. Personally, I would put written information into either basic html or text format, import into a general folder or folder structure, and from there would move this information into pages that comprise my help project.
