What surname should a married lady use officially/legally in India? Father's or husband's?

My wife wants to apply for a job. We are cofused whether to use her father's surname or my surname in her full name. Her certificates bear her father's surname. If we enter her full name with my surname, will there be any objection while certificate verification? Are there any legal problems? We seek legal advice.

look at your first official identity card please.

I'd use her fathers surname if that is whats on the certificate.
